FinchDB is not just a database, not just an analytics engine and not just a search tool. It’s all three. All together. All in-memory. It’s a new, enabling platform technology built on an IP portfolio of 25 unique inventions, and suited for multiple high-volume, high-stakes use cases. While other big data solutions are answers-oriented, FinchDB enables users to ask better questions of their data. Because better questions must come before better answers.

Scott Lightner, Chief Technology Officer at Finch Computing, has over 20 years of experience developing data-intensive software products and solutions. As CTO, Scott directs product innovation and provides client-driven solution development. He founded Finch Computing’s parent company, Qbase. Prior to Qbase, Scott spent 13 years at global information provider, LexisNexis, where he led the design, development and operational deployment of several search, data mining and entity linking products. These products included billions of records of data from tens of thousands of data sources, and provided sub-second response times to complex search and entity linking requests. Scott specializes in the design of fault-tolerant, in-memory computing solutions to address the most challenging, most data intensive problems.
