Learn from the lessons and wisdom of those that have come before you. Save time, frustration and your sanity by skipping the potholes of data governance and learn from the years of experience on this panel hosted by the Data Governance Professionals Organization. Learn from those who have been in the trenches with their sleeves rolled high. We will uncover their stories of their worst and best experiences in the field. They will share their sage advice and wisdom about governance programs of all levels of maturity. And we will ask them to share their thoughts on how the changing digital and data landscapes are impacting the world of data governance.

Anne Buff is a Business Solutions Manager and Thought Leader for SAS Best Practices, a thought leadership organization at SAS institute. As a speaker and author she specializes in the topics of data governance, MDM, data integration and data monetization. Anne has been a specialist in the world of data for over 15 years and has developed courseware for a wide range of technical concepts and software including, SAS® Data Management. In her current role, she leverages her training and consulting experience and her data-savviness to lead best practices workshops and facilitate intra-team dialogs to help companies realize their “data potential”.

Janet Lichtenberger is a data management professional with over 20 years of experience. She has held a variety of roles, including roles in data governance, program/project management, and client relationship management.

She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, is the V.P. of Operations for DAMA Wisconsin, and is the Director of Global Data Governance at Walgreens Boots Alliance.

Having worked with the software and systems providers' key to the formulation of Master Data Management (MDM), Kelle O'Neal has played important roles in many of the groundbreaking initiatives that confirm the value of MDM to the enterprise. Recognizing an unmet need for clear guidance on the intricacies of implementing data solutions, she founded First San Francisco Partners. Under her leadership, FSFP immediately established a reputation as the first-call resource for companies looking to tap the value of Enterprise Information Management (EIM), MDM and Data Governance (DG). Kelle developed her ability to work through organizational complexity, build consensus and drive results in senior roles at companies such as Siperian, GoldenGate Software, Siebel Systems and Oracle. Kelle's strong background enables her to provide expert counsel to organizations seeking to execute an EIM, MDM or DG project. Kelle holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Jeff is Head of Group Data at Argo Group, an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products in property and casualty markets. In a data and analytics strategist role reporting to the COO, he is responsible for driving the company's agenda to understand specialty customers and markets, and make data-driven decisions. He has focused on consumer information for over 25 years, in a dozen industries. Jeff has consulted, taught, and published on data management, analytics, and marketing topics in North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
