Making the decision to stand up a business oriented data organization is the "easy part." Defining the next steps, creating a strategy, articulating the business value proposition and garnering buy-in across the organization is the hard part. The multiyear data journey requires support at all levels of the organization, thoughtful implementation strategies, demonstration of business value and constant communication. Join Jodi Morton as she shares the strategies she is using to build a data organization and the organizational support for a business data future state at Freddie Mac.

Jodi Morton is VP of Single Family Data Governance and Management, in the Single Family division of Freddie Mac. She began her Freddie Mac career in 2004 and she has served in a variety of roles, most recently as VP of Single Family CFO. Jodi works across the Single Family business to leverage data, analytics and technology to further business strategy. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the Single Family data strategy which includes data governance; data quality transparency and reporting; operational support of certain shared information assets such as the corporate data warehouse, approved provisioning points, and the analytics enclave; and advancement of data acquisition strategies and analytic capabilities for the Single Family business.
