Creating an enterprise-wide taxonomy is a difficult task. Creating one that will be used in an information management application adds additional layers of complexity. We will share lessons learned during the rapid development and implementation of multiple company-wide taxonomies in information management systems. The following topics will be addressed:
  • What to know about the technology before you start
  • Factors that may influence taxonomy design
  • Planning for sustainment
  • Keys to user adoption and success
