Data is not a bad word!

Do you ever find it frustrating to talk about data to those who just don't seem to know how to "talk data"? This session will give specific tips on how to talk to data to non-data people so that you can both be on the same page and get your projects and ideas approved.

This will be accomplished by using specific examples and some humor on topics such as:

  • How to Speak the Same Language
  • Make it relatable
  • Tell a Story
  • Know your Audience -- The Technical Person vs. The Business Person vs. The Manager
  • Let them know You
  • If You must go Technical - Use Analogizes

Jill has over 19 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, and she has spent the last eight years working on all things data. This includes data modeling and giving recommendations on how to better use data, how to clean up your data, and why data governance is so important.

As a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Jill feels that everyone should be working to ensure their data is protected and used effectively.
